Ravi Shankar created numerous famous songs and compositions during the last seven decades some of which will be performed at this special concert honoring his memory.
A child prodigy, Barun Pal debuted at the age of 6 playing before Prime Minister Nehru. In 1978 Pandit Ravi Shankar accepted him as a disciple. Barun Kumar Pal has been an A-grade Artist in both Indian Classical music and Light music since 1972.
Barun will be accompanied by Ray Spiegel on tabla. Ray is a disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha, who accompanied and recorded with Ravi Shankar for thirty years.
